Well, perhaps not always – I’m still trying to achieve “my personal best” look… This one is fairly close – Neopan 400@200 in Rodinal 1+50, 9min@20deg… But it still depends on light soooooooo much… ;-)
This is one of those pictures whose tones make me go ughhhh. This highly inadequate exclamation is a result of lacking a proper adjective. Today I've finally come up with the right one – it's juicy, a bloody juicy picture – it's literally soaking with tones.
I like the tones and the grain too, no doubt about that, but I believe it's the way you compose your shots and the feeling you give to them that makes them so unique in the first place. And, euh, maybe you'd better keep your 'tricks of the trade' a well preserved secret if you want to keep them personal ;-) ?
