burnin’ : aftermath

Walking down from the quays I’ve spotted long strip of movie film laying along the street.

We’ve followed and found ourselves in the place  I’ve photographed Burnin’ at: behind the Film House, 35 Upper Abbey Street, that burnt down on 28th Dec. 2008.

The film I’ve taken from a big pile of bricks mixed with movie reels came out to be the “Essex Boys”.

I’ve unreeled it, cut out few random scenes from inside and made up the story above; one can call it a double fiction.

On the other hand the documentary part depicts the way I’ve discovered the place more or less truthfully.

Idąc od rzeki dojrzałem długi odcinek filmu leżący wzdłuż ulicy.

Podążylismy za nim i znaleźliśmy się w miejscu gdzie sfotografowałem Burnin’: tuż za Film House na Upper Abbey Street 35, który spłonał 28go grudnia 2008.

Z wielkiego usypiska gruzu zmieszanego z rolkami filmu zabrałem jeden którego nie znałem: “Essex Boys”.

Odwinąłem go i wyciąłem na chybił-trafił kilka scen, z których ułożyłem historię powyżej: można ją nazwać podwójną fikcją.

Z drugiej strony część dokumentalna w miare wiernie obrazuje jak poznałem to miejsce.
